How Black Hat Cattle Co. handles information from restaurant guests, website visitors, event inquiries, newsletter subscribers, and ticket purchasers.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to operate the restaurant, event business, website, and ticketing experience.
- Contact information such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and social handles when you provide them through forms, reservations, contests, inquiries, or ticket orders.
- Restaurant and event information such as reservation details, party size, event inquiry details, guest notes, attendee names, ticket selections, check-in status, and support requests.
- Purchase information such as ticket type, quantity, price, taxes, fees, add-ons, order status, refund status, discount codes, and limited payment metadata. Full card numbers are handled by payment processors and are not intended to be stored by Black Hat Cattle Co.
- Technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referral source, UTM campaign data, and interactions with forms or ticket checkout.
- Communications you send us, including replies to emails, event inquiries, newsletter signups, support messages, and feedback.
How We Use Information
We use guest and visitor information for ordinary restaurant, event, support, security, and marketing purposes.
- To respond to inquiries, manage reservations, prepare event proposals, fulfill ticket orders, send confirmations, and provide guest support.
- To send operational messages such as ticket receipts, wallet links, QR codes, event reminders, order updates, changes to event details, and refund or support communications.
- To send marketing communications, event announcements, menu updates, contests, and offers when permitted by law or when you opt in. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.
- To protect the checkout process, detect fraud, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, maintain site security, and improve the performance and usefulness of the website.
- To create aggregated reporting about sales, attendance, campaign performance, website traffic, and guest interest.
Ticket Purchasing
Ticket purchasing uses additional information because we have to process payment, deliver tickets, validate admission, and support event operations.
- When you buy tickets, we may collect buyer and attendee names, buyer and attendee emails, phone number, ticket quantity, ticket type, add-ons, discount codes, transaction timestamps, and related order metadata.
- Payment processors, ticketing infrastructure, fraud-prevention services, wallet providers, email providers, and analytics providers may receive the information necessary to provide their services.
- Ticket QR codes, pass codes, wallet links, and order links should be treated like tickets. If you forward them, the recipient may be able to use them unless event-specific rules say otherwise.
- Event staff may use ticket and attendee information for admission, guest-list reconciliation, capacity management, safety, customer support, and post-event reporting.
- If an event is changed, postponed, or canceled, we may use purchase information to contact buyers and process options consistent with the event's posted terms.
Sharing and Service Providers
We share information with service providers when they help us run the business and serve guests.
- We may share information with reservation platforms, payment processors, ticketing tools, email and SMS providers, analytics tools, hosting providers, fraud-prevention tools, customer support tools, and professional advisers.
- We may share information with affiliated hospitality brands or operational partners when needed for catering, private events, guest support, reporting, or related services.
- We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, or to protect our rights, guests, staff, business, or property.
- We do not sell guest contact lists as a standalone product. Some analytics or advertising technologies may be considered a sale or sharing under certain privacy laws, depending on where you live.
Choices and Retention
You can ask questions about your information, update contact details, and opt out of marketing communications.
- You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. Operational messages about reservations, purchases, event updates, or support may still be sent when needed.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of information where applicable law gives you those rights.
- We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for restaurant operations, event records, accounting, legal compliance, security, guest support, and legitimate business purposes.
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no website, payment flow, or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
- Our site and ticketing services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
