Velvet Brim is the private bourbon bar and cocktail event space at Heritage Hall — exclusively available for private packages. It is separate from public Black Hat events and is not open for walk-in or general public service. When you book the space, the bar is yours.
A bar built the way it should be — heavy materials, honest pours, no shortcuts.
The cowhide pieces behind the bar aren't decoration as an afterthought. They set the tone — natural, warm, a little rough around the edges. The solid oak bar runs the full length of the space, built to last and age alongside every event held here. Everything at Velvet Brim is chosen for quality, not convenience.

The Oak Room
Blanton's, house demerara, Angostura, orange peel. A proper Old Fashioned built slow and poured over a single large rock.
Cowhide Negroni
Bulleit Rye, Campari, sweet vermouth, black walnut bitters. A rye Negroni riff that earns its place on a bourbon bar.
Colorado Smoke
Stranahan's, lapsang syrup, lemon, egg white. Smoked, light, and surprisingly drinkable for something this complex.
The Weller
Weller, honey, lemon, ginger beer. Simple enough to order twice, interesting enough to remember. On the rocks.
Hide and Barrel
Buffalo Trace, amaro, sweet vermouth, cherry. A Manhattan with depth — built for the space it's served in.
Brim Sour
Four Roses, lemon, simple, egg white, Angostura float. The house sour. Bright, balanced, one of the best things we make.

Velvet Brim is exclusively available through private Heritage Hall event-space packages. There is no walk-in service and no public event-calendar programming here. When you book the space, Velvet Brim comes with it — fully staffed by skilled bartenders, stocked with the full program, and ready for your private event.
Professional bar service for every Heritage Hall event
All Velvet Brim private event-space packages include highly skilled bartenders for the duration of your event. Our bar team knows the program, knows the space, and can execute everything from a focused bourbon tasting to a full open bar for 120 guests. No outside bartenders needed — it's part of the package.
Every bar package below is a starting point — hours, spirits, and selections are customizable to your event. Velvet Brim-only room rental starts at a $400 room fee. Final proposals confirm guest count, service window, selected add-ons, and any custom tasting or cocktail program.
